Just got back from King's Island, which was fun. I mean, I got to go on Tomb Raider, which hangs you upside down for several full seconds. I LOVE hanging upside down. ^_^

But anyway, when we got home, the computer was once again not working. I hope there isn't anything hugely wrong with it. >.< I mean, I have stuff on that computer. Like stories, and doujinshi, and videos, and all the stuff I was working on for the "Name That Tune" CDs. Sigh. Guess I'll just see what happens.

Tuesday night I hung out at TJ's with a bunch of people I am too lazy to list. We played Apples to Apples and watched Street Fighter II V, except watching it mostly consisted of paying attention only long enough to make jokes about it.

So I got home rather late Tuesday night. Then, yesterday morning, I woke up at around 9:30 (exceptionally early for me on a day when I don't work until five), wandered downstairs, pushed the power button on the computer a few times, and then realized nothing was happening. Then I discovered a piece of paper lying over the keyboard, with the words "computer is dead" written on it in my dad's handwriting.

Well, I was distraught. I had nothing to do. So I vaccuumed the living room, unloaded the dishwasher, did a load of laundry, made a hair clip thing for my cosplay, and counted out all the change that had been sitting in the coffee can in the room. Then I discovered that I had no penny rolls, so went and bought some. (I ended up with a $5 roll of dimes and $4 in pennies.) Then I went to campus for a while to check my email, and then came home and played some Final Fantasy VII before work.

Seriously, it was horrible to be computer-less, but it was probably good for me. ^_^* Currently, the old IBM is hooked up in the den. My dad's planning on pulling the Vaio open and cleaning it out tonight, so hopefully things will be back to normal soon. I have an episode of Final Fantasy Unlimited downloaded that I can't watch, and the FFX PWP I was working on is stuck on the Vaio too ^_^*

Otakon is two weeks away already!!! O.O

I hate when this happens. Yesterday (or was it Monday?) on AIM Crysta asked me if I wanted to go see the Powerpuff Girls movie today. And I said sure. And she said she'd get back to me with plans. And of course there are no plans yet. So I'm just sitting here not doing anything. It's annoying.

Also, I woke up at noon. >.< I hate when I do that! I need to work on my sleep schedule, seriously.

And somebody stole $32 out of my wallet, which also pisses me off.

Sigh. I need to cheer myself up. ^_^* And eat. Yeah, food is good.

Oh my GOD, I am hungry. I want to write about how fun JAFAX was, and hanging out with Kathleen again, and winning DVDs even if they were DVDs I don't have a lot of interest in, but all I've had to eat today was a Snickers bar and a small bag of baby carrots. And there are no Garden Burgers, or milk with which to cook the instant pasta packet thingies, or anything. I THINK my mom may be at the grocery store right now, though. I could spend my own money on food, but I am so cheap = ( And I just spent money at JAFAX (although Kathleen was great and bought me sushi last night. And it was good, despite that choking incident ^_^*)

I got my car insurance bill today - and it's for $370!!! What?? It was about $230 last time! Something is Not Right here o.O Mom said I can pay half of it for now, thank god, because I REALLY want to have some Otakon money... sigh... I guess I'm just going to have to be more careful with how I spend it.

But some good news, speaking of Otakon... Yasuhiro Nightow is going to be there! Hikaru Midorikawa is a pretty tough guest to top, but I'm really excited about this. I plan on cosplaying as Zazie and having him sign my Trigun Maximum manga. ^_^ How cool. Sigh.

We're leaving for Cedar Point today ^_^ I haven't ridden a rollercoaster in entirely too long, and I'm really looking forward to it. We were supposed to leave "by 3:00", but seeing as it's quarter after, I don't think that's going to happen... my mom seems really annoyed, which seems to happen easily when things don't go as planned. I guess I understand that.

Stupid Ragnarok, why have I been playing it so much lately? ^_^* I made my third character on the Chaos server a merchant. He's not 1337 enough to actually sell things yet, but that's okay, he'll get there.

Erm, I actually wanted to say something a bit meaningful, but I seem to have forgotten what it was. ^_^* Other than that, as usual, I want a better job and more money. I wish I wasn't so lazy, and I wish there were some way to magically make myself less lazy. ^_^* I realize that the only way to change myself is to just say "to heck with it" and CHANGE, but that takes willpower that I just can't find. And then I wish I had more willpower, and thus it is a vicious cycle.

Too bad I can't just go stab Porings and then sell the Jellopy for some quick cash!

Guess what I did today? I quit the anime club! = D And it felt really good! After realizing how many more copies of commercial tapes had been added despite my voice of protest, and realizing that I would never be able to change the club's policies on bootlegging, I figured that I would rather quit the club entirely than support an organization that would in turn support bootlegs. It makes me feel much better, and my conscience is clearer. No idea how the rest of the eboard feels yet, and I don't care that much. Oh yeah, I also stuck the first Cowboy Bebop tape in the VCR and hit "record", hopefully rendering the club with a blank tape instead of Bebop vol. 1. I don't think anyone else in the club owns it, either. Guess they'll have to find it somewhere else, hm?

P.S. Watched Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust last night. It kicked ass. Auron, Seymour, and Wakka were all in it.

This is something that's been discussed on the Cowboy Bebop board I frequent, and now I've also seen it on a Harry Potter board I just started going to. Namely, it's people who think writing yaoi/slash about characters is wrong because "they're not gay".

This is really funny, in my opinion, because for one thing, it's fanfiction. FAN fiction. Fanfiction is writing by FANS, based on what the fic author's interpretation of the characters is, and what the author would like to see from them. Also, people who criticize slash for this reason seem to think that all characters are straight until proven gay, which is a bit silly - ESPECIALLY in a book like Harry Potter. "Remus and Sirius aren't gay!", people will say, and while it's true that there isn't any proof that they are, there isn't anything saying otherwise in the books so far either. They're almost entirely from Harry's POV, and the readers can only guess at what everyone else is thinking. And how is writing non-canon slash stories any weirder than non-canon het stories? I mean, I think Remus/Sirius as a pairing makes a lot more sense than, say, Hermione and Draco, or Harry and Ginny, which are both pretty popular pairings.

And the funniest part is the people who claim they're not homophobic, but still get disgusted and freaked out by the mere thought of two male characters as lovers. Sigh. People are silly.

In other news, I am currently eating a sandwich with bologna, cheese, mustard, and pickle slices, and DAMN is it good.

Since Sarah just made a new layout, I felt the need to do the same... and I was really in need of an archive anyway. Fairly simple and not really much different from the Akito layout, but with a very different color scheme... heh, I love Kaga, he's so cool. ^_^* And his name has the kanji for "man" in it (the "o" of "Tetsuo"), I notice, which seems highly appropriate for a teenager who looks like he wants to be seducing people (especially Tsutsui). Anyway, I need to SLEEP! I keep staying up all night and then sleeping all day. How horrible. I also need to write, and look for a job, and get more excercize, and work on a cosplay... agh.
